The HOPE Center hosted a successful Friendraising event

The nonprofit recently organized an evening of gratitude and hope at Battle River Brewing in Toms River, NJ.

Toms River, NJ – The HOPE Center, a nonprofit organization serving individuals and families in crisis with dignity and compassion, recently hosted its Friendraising event to bring the community together through gratitude and hope. Attendees enjoyed relaxed conversation, dinner and networking while learning more about The HOPE Center’s mission.

“Thank you to all those who supported The HOPE Center at our Friendraising Evening of Gratitude and Hope,” said Amy VanBezooijen of The HOPE Center. “For those who were able to join us, it was a lovely evening spending time reconnecting with those we consider our wonderful family. It far exceeded our expectations and we hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did. For those who were unable to attend but offered their support, you were dearly missed and we look forward to a time in the near future when we can be together.”

The HOPE Center is especially thankful to the donors who helped them surpass their donation goal of the evening. It is becoming increasingly difficult for families to make ends meet in these challenging times and the community graciously recognizes the need for support. “On behalf of our Board of Trustees, staff, volunteers and all those we serve, we offer our deepest appreciation for all the compassion and support of our mission that we continue to receive,” Amy continued. “We are very grateful for Battle River Brewing for providing such a warm and inviting space to gather, relax, mix and mingle, and for Capone’s Gourmet Pizza and Pasta for kindly catering a delicious meal for us to enjoy.”

The nonprofit will also be hosting its 2nd Annual Golf Classic on Monday, May 22nd at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Colts Neck. Registration, breakfast and putting contest will take place from 7:30am to 9am with a Shotgun Start at 9am (scramble format). Post round lunch, awards and prizes will be held from 2pm to 3:30pm. The event is being chaired by D.J. Cunningham and Mike VanBezooijen. This will be a day filled with prizes, raffles, great food and a lot of fun on the green for an amazing cause.
