Why We Help

According to recently released U.S. Census figures, about 8% of New Jerseyans live in poverty. However, over 23% of families are not able to meet the basic costs of living, such as food, shelter, utilities and transportation.
Less than 30% of those eligible for lowincome housing actually receive it because of a nationwide lack of affordable house and assisted-housing programs. 44% of those who are homeless have part or full-time employment. 94% of the nation’s homeless do not want to be homeless.

Our friends and neighbors in Ocean County are being affected by the economic uncertainties of our world today. We can help by opening our eyes and hearts to their needs and supporting this great mission.
